Check your gear

During the middle of winter it's important to look after your canoe and now before the season starts is a good time to check your gear.

Are your flares in date?

Check the floatation in your bulkheads.

Do your iakos need a coat of varnish?

Are all your rigging ratchets working? (Give them a squirt of WD40).

Check your covers for rips and busted zippers? If you need any repairs to your covers or need new ratchets let me know.

Are your canoes protected from the elements? We have protective covers that will keep canoes safe and warm.

Blessing Ceremonies

There have been a lot of new lightweight Mirages hitting the water lately and a few blessing ceremonies performed.The Arafura Outrigger Canoe Club recently took delivery of their two new beautiful lightweight Mirages and held an awesome blessing ceremony for them in Darwin. Check out the video it's awesome, look out for the lawn mower dance!
